The Ogxcun Myth (Comic – 21-page, self-contained story)

“And, ready to die in a storm of vengeance if I must... I brace myself for the end.”

A baroque palace filled with gold-coloured automata. A lone warrior trekking through snowy wastes. A tattooed, enigmatic figure from an unknown land. And the Ogxcun: the deity’s hellish monstrosities, made to scent and punish the guilt-ridden, to keep the cosmos in order.

Weaving together, these threads will tell of an impossible, fairytale-esque encounter between two cultures, Viking and Maori; of a story stitched across a vast hanging of silken, mythic time.

Plus, one of the characters is called Oopaniwatutha. Don’t tell me you’ve read a story with a name like that this week.

Originally published by David Lloyd (co-creator of V for Vendetta) in his award-winning anthology, Aces Weekly.

“Mohan’s art is fabulous ... a thought-provoking sci-fi/historical tale ... It’s a daring go at something unique.” – A Place to Hang Your Cape
